4 Star Agreement — full terms applicable to extended warranty cover
During the specified period, the following original manufacturer’s mechanical and electrical components are covered against total failure, except those listed under Additional Exclusions.
Air conditioning pump (excluding pulleys if available as a separate component).
Internal components only: gears, oil pump, shafts, clutches, brake bands, bearings, governors, servos, torque converter, drive plate, valve block, modulator valve, speedometer drive.
Master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake calipers (excluding seizure and electric motors), servo, brake pumps, brake limiter valve, ABS computer/pumps.
Covered providing there is proof that the manufacturer’s replacement recommendations have been complied with and they are free from oil contamination.
Centre plate only (covered for oil contamination), pressure plate, thrust bearing, clutch fork, master cylinder, slave cylinder.
Water pump, head gasket, thermostat, heater matrix, electric fan motor, viscous fan coupling, radiator (excluding electric pump and pulleys).
Crown wheel and pinion, bearings, planet gears, bevel gears, drive shafts, constant velocity joints, 4WD units. Excluding rubber gaiters.
Starter motor, alternator, coil, distributor, ECU (engine only), front & rear wiper motors, heater fan motor, indicator relay, electric window motors, sunroof motor, centralised locking solenoids, cruise control actuator and control unit. Front and rear heated screens are excluded.
Valve assembly, inlet/exhaust valves, valve guides & springs (excluding burnt valves), cylinder head (excluding cracks/overheating), push rods, camshaft & followers, timing chains & tensioner, oil pump, pistons & rings, cylinder bores, gudgeon pins, con rods & bearings, crankshaft & bearings, flywheel & ring gear, distributor drive.
Shock absorbers, coil springs, upper & lower wishbones, ball joints, swivel joints, McPherson struts, suspension arms, anti-roll bar, self-levelling units, reservoir pump & regulator valves, hydro-pneumatic system. Excluding leaks and bushes.
Mechanical/electrical fuel pump, air mass meter, EGR valve, idle control valve. Excluding injectors.
Internal components only: gears, shafts, synchromesh hubs, selectors, bearings, speedometer drive, overdrive units, solenoid. Excluding gear cables, linkages, electronic actuators.
Propshaft, universal joints and bearings.
Power steering rack, power steering pump, steering box, steering idler, steering column, pressure pipes. Excluding leaks, electric locks, ECU.
The complete unit (including wastegate if integral and not available separately). Applies only if fitted as part of the manufacturer’s original specification.
Front and rear wheel bearings.
In addition to the standard exclusions within this Agreement, the following are also excluded:
The warranty will pay up to £1,000 towards any breakdown approved by the provider. Opteven will approve any reputable VAT-registered garage to carry out the repairs.
